SplitBoard

The iPad split keyboard, back as a keyboard you install.

iPadOS 26 dropped the split keyboard. SplitBoard puts it back: the keyboard breaks into two halves that sit against the edges of the screen, within reach while both hands hold the iPad. It also carries English and Russian at once and never asks for Full Access.

Turning it on

1. Settings, General, Keyboard, Keyboards, Add New Keyboard.
2. Pick SplitBoard under Third-Party Keyboards.
3. In any text field, hold the globe key and choose SplitBoard.

The key with the two-panel icon in the bottom row splits the keyboard and merges it back.
